1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using the TypeAssist desktop application (the "Software") and website at typeassist.io (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Software.

2. License Grant & Device Activation Limits

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, TypeAssist grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable lifetime license to run and use the Software on a specified number of Mac devices under your personal or business control, subject to the plan tier you purchase:

  • Plus/Pro plans: 1 active device slot limit.
  • Max plan: 1 active device slot limit (or as specified at checkout).

You agree that sharing, distributing, renting, or leasing your license key to other individuals is strictly prohibited and constitutes a breach of this license.

3. License Restrictions

You agree not to, and will not permit any third party to:

  • Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, decrypt, or attempt to derive the source code or local model parameters of the Software.
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software.
  • Bypass, disable, or circumvent any licensing, copy protection, activation, or anti-piracy mechanisms built into the Software.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties (Provided "AS IS")

IMPORTANT LIABILITY AND QUALITY PROTECTION:
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SUGGESTIONS RENDERED BY THE AUTOCOMPLETE ENGINE ARE CORRECT, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; OR (C) THE OPERATION OF THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED. YOU ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK FOR TEXT, EMAILS, OR CODE GENERATED WITH THE AID OF TYPEASSIST.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TYPEASSIST OR ITS DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS IS CAPPED AT THE ACTUAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE LICENSE.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the Software and instant license key delivery, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits under any circumstances once a transaction is completed and a license key is issued.

7. License Termination

We reserve the right to immediately terminate or suspend your license key without prior notice or refund if we detect: (a) activation numbers exceeding license limits; (b) sharing or resale of license keys; (c) reverse engineering or tampering with the software; or (d) fraudulent chargebacks.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
